YOUR FIRST LESSON: WHAT TO EXPECT
Your first lesson will be an assessment lesson, 1 on 1, just you and your coach.
The purpose of this lesson is to assess your riding ability and goals.
Your coach will support you every step of the way, from bridling and mounting, right through to the dismount.
Your lesson will start 'on the lunge'. This is to ensure your safety and to help develop your confidence. Only when you are in control and feeling confident, will your coach remove the lunge line and you can start riding independently.
***NOTE riders must be 8yrs and older to ride at Oakwood

ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS
Our coaches are here to support you in achieving your goals! No matter how big or small the goal, your coach will help pave the way.
Lessons will be conducted in a planned and structured manner. Each lesson will build on the last, with the focus being on correct riding position and execution of movements.
Your progress will be determined only by you and your horse, with new lessons introduced only when you and your horse are truly ready.

We are excited to now offer a self-managed, DIY booking system online for our clients! This will allow ease of booking lessons when they suit you. You can book as often as you like!

ECpro is a UK based provider offering an online service for equestrian centres worldwide!
Create an account and add yourself or your child as a rider and then proceed with booking a private assessment lesson.

If you have had some riding experience before and are looking to join one of our many group classes, please discuss this with your coach during your assessment lesson. They will be able to advise which group will suit you best and you can then proceed with booking these in for your future lessons!
